MY STORY

Chris Odom is a lifelong storyteller whose love for movies and scriptwriting naturally led him to authorship. With decades of experience working in film and video, he has written multiple screenplays and produced several short films, shaping a storytelling voice rooted in cinematic pacing, strong visual imagination, and character-driven emotion. His work reflects a deep appreciation for stories that can have an impact, challenge, and invite reflection long after the final page or frame.

First and foremost, Chris is a follower of Christ. His faith is the foundation of his life and creative vision, guiding both the stories he tells and the way he tells them. He believes storytelling is a powerful tool, one capable of revealing truth, stirring hope, and pointing hearts toward something greater than themselves.

Chris has been married for 28 years and is the father of TEN children. His passion for family and marriage profoundly influences his work, grounding his stories in themes of sacrifice, legacy, love, and perseverance. Life at home has taught him the beauty found in chaos, commitment, and unconditional love, lessons that quietly shape the worlds and characters he creates.

TEXAS WILD marks his first step into published authorship, bridging his experience from screen to page and inviting readers into stories crafted with intention, imagination, and heart.

5.0 out of 5.0 stars. Gripping tale of vengeance and triumph.

TEXAS WILD tells the story of American settlers, specifically Josiah Wilbarger, and their eventual triumph over the Comanche warriors. The narrative is light and readable, yet often grisly and heartbreaking, capturing both the brutality and resilience of the era. It’s a story I wasn’t familiar with, and I truly enjoyed reading it.
